"git merge-recursive" backend recently learned a new heuristics to infer file movement based on how other files in the same directory moved. As this is inherently less robust heuristics than the one based on the content similarity of the file itself (rather than based on what its neighbours are doing), it sometimes gives an outcome unexpected by the end users. struct diff_filespec defines mode to be an 'unsigned short'. Several other places in the API which we'd like to interact with using a diff_filespec used a plain unsigned (or unsigned int). archive: convert struct archiver_args to object_id

We indent with TABs and sometimes for fine alignment, TABs followed by spaces, but never all spaces (unless the indentation is less than 8 columns). Indenting with spaces slips through in some places. Fix them. Imported code and compat/ are left alone on purpose. The former should remain as close as upstream as possible. tree.c: make read_tree() take 'struct repository '

These functions call tree_entry_interesting() which will soon require a 'struct index_state *' to be passed in. Instead of just changing the function signature to take an index, update to take a repo instead because these functions do need object database access.
