Convert all instances of get_object_hash to use an appropriate reference
to the hash member of the oid member of struct object. This provides no
functional change, as it is essentially a macro substitution.

struct object is one of the major data structures dealing with object
IDs. Convert it to use struct object_id instead of an unsigned char
array. Convert get_object_hash to refer to the new member as well.

Convert most instances where the sha1 member of struct object is
dereferenced to use get_object_hash. Most instances that are passed to
functions that have versions taking struct object_id, such as
get_sha1_hex/get_oid_hex, or instances that can be trivially converted
to use struct object_id instead, are not converted.

This patch puts the usage info strings that were not already in docopt-
like format into docopt-like format, which will be a litle easier for
end users and a lot easier for translators. Changes include:

- Placing angle brackets around fill-in-the-blank parameters
- Putting dashes in multiword parameter names
- Adding spaces to [-f|--foobar] to make [-f | --foobar]
- Replacing <foobar>* with [<foobar>...]

We generally want to avoid lookup_unknown_object, because it
results in allocating more memory for the object than may be
strictly necessary.

In this case, it is used to check whether we have an
already-parsed object before calling parse_object, to save
us from reading the object from disk. Using lookup_object
would be fine for that purpose, but we can take it a step
further. Since this code was written, parse_object already
learned the "check lookup_object" optimization, so we can
simply call parse_object directly.

diffcore-rename: fall back to -C when -C -C busts the rename limit

When there are too many paths in the project, the number of rename source
candidates "git diff -C -C" finds will exceed the rename detection limit,
and no inexact rename detection is performed. We however could fall back
to "git diff -C" if the number of modified paths is sufficiently small.

Submodules: Use "ignore" settings from .gitmodules too for diff and status

The .gitmodules file is parsed for "submodule.<name>.ignore" entries
before looking for them in .git/config. Thus settings found in .git/config
will override those from .gitmodules, thereby allowing the local developer
to ignore settings given by the remote side while also letting upstream
set defaults for those users who don't have special needs.
