* Convert files to UTF-8.

  * Also correct some people's names
    (one example is Eißfeldt, which was found in a source file.
    Given that the author used an ß at all in a source file
    indicates that the real name has in fact a 'ß' and not an 'ss',
    which is commonly used as a substitute for 'ß' when limited to
    7bit.)

  * Correct town names (Goettingen -&gt; Göttingen)

  * Update Eberhard Mönkeberg's address (http://lkml.org/lkml/2007/1/8/313)

Partial write can be easily supported by LO_CRYPT_NONE mode, but it is not
easy in LO_CRYPT_CRYPTOAPI case, because of its block nature.  I don't know
who still used cryptoapi, but theoretically it is possible.  So let's leave
things as they are.  Loop device doesn't support partial write before
Nick's "write_begin/write_end" patch set, and let's it behave the same way
after.

These are intended to replace prepare_write and commit_write with more
flexible alternatives that are also able to avoid the buffered write
deadlock problems efficiently (which prepare_write is unable to do).

As bi_end_io is only called once when the reqeust is complete,
the 'size' argument is now redundant.  Remove it.

Now there is no need for bio_endio to subtract the size completed
from bi_size.  So don't do that either.

While we are at it, change bi_end_io to return void.

Some of the code has been gradually transitioned to using the proper
struct request_queue, but there's lots left. So do a full sweet of
the kernel and get rid of this typedef and replace its uses with
the proper type.

<title>Freezer: make kernel threads nonfreezable by default</title>

Currently, the freezer treats all tasks as freezable, except for the kernel
threads that explicitly set the PF_NOFREEZE flag for themselves.  This
approach is problematic, since it requires every kernel thread to either
set PF_NOFREEZE explicitly, or call try_to_freeze(), even if it doesn't
care for the freezing of tasks at all.

It seems better to only require the kernel threads that want to or need to
be frozen to use some freezer-related code and to remove any
freezer-related code from the other (nonfreezable) kernel threads, which is
done in this patch.

The patch causes all kernel threads to be nonfreezable by default (ie.  to
have PF_NOFREEZE set by default) and introduces the set_freezable()
function that should be called by the freezable kernel threads in order to
unset PF_NOFREEZE.  It also makes all of the currently freezable kernel
threads call set_freezable(), so it shouldn't cause any (intentional)
change of behaviour to appear.  Additionally, it updates documentation to
describe the freezing of tasks more accurately.

<title>pipe: change the -&gt;pin() operation to -&gt;confirm()</title>

The name 'pin' was badly chosen, it doesn't pin a pipe buffer
in the most commonly used sense in the kernel. So change the
name to 'confirm', after debating this issue with Hugh
Dickins a bit.

A good return from -&gt;confirm() means that the buffer is really
there, and that the contents are good.
