This was done entirely with mindless brute force, using

    git grep -l '\&lt;k[vmz]*alloc_objs*(.*, GFP_KERNEL)' |
        xargs sed -i 's/\(alloc_objs*(.*\), GFP_KERNEL)/\1)/'

to convert the new alloc_obj() users that had a simple GFP_KERNEL
argument to just drop that argument.

Note that due to the extreme simplicity of the scripting, any slightly
more complex cases spread over multiple lines would not be triggered:
they definitely exist, but this covers the vast bulk of the cases, and
the resulting diff is also then easier to check automatically.

For the same reason the 'flex' versions will be done as a separate
conversion.

This is the result of running the Coccinelle script from
scripts/coccinelle/api/kmalloc_objs.cocci. The script is designed to
avoid scalar types (which need careful case-by-case checking), and
instead replace kmalloc-family calls that allocate struct or union
object instances:

Single allocations:	kmalloc(sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_obj(TYPE, ...)

Array allocations:	kmalloc_array(COUNT, sizeof(TYPE), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_objs(TYPE, COUNT, ...)

Flex array allocations:	kmalloc(struct_size(PTR, FAM, COUNT), ...)
are replaced with:	kmalloc_flex(*PTR, FAM, COUNT, ...)

(where TYPE may also be *VAR)

The resulting allocations no longer return "void *", instead returning
"TYPE *".

Pull arm64 updates from Will Deacon:
 "The headline feature is the re-enablement of support for Arm's
  Scalable Matrix Extension (SME) thanks to a bumper crop of fixes
  from Mark Rutland.

  If matrices aren't your thing, then Ryan's page-table optimisation
  work is much more interesting.

  Summary:

  ACPI, EFI and PSCI:

   - Decouple Arm's "Software Delegated Exception Interface" (SDEI)
     support from the ACPI GHES code so that it can be used by platforms
     booted with device-tree

   - Remove unnecessary per-CPU tracking of the FPSIMD state across EFI
     runtime calls

   - Fix a node refcount imbalance in the PSCI device-tree code

  CPU Features:

   - Ensure register sanitisation is applied to fields in ID_AA64MMFR4

   - Expose AIDR_EL1 to userspace via sysfs, primarily so that KVM
     guests can reliably query the underlying CPU types from the VMM

   - Re-enabling of SME support (CONFIG_ARM64_SME) as a result of fixes
     to our context-switching, signal handling and ptrace code

  Entry code:

   - Hook up TIF_NEED_RESCHED_LAZY so that CONFIG_PREEMPT_LAZY can be
     selected

  Memory management:

   - Prevent BSS exports from being used by the early PI code

   - Propagate level and stride information to the low-level TLB
     invalidation routines when operating on hugetlb entries

   - Use the page-table contiguous hint for vmap() mappings with
     VM_ALLOW_HUGE_VMAP where possible

   - Optimise vmalloc()/vmap() page-table updates to use "lazy MMU mode"
     and hook this up on arm64 so that the trailing DSB (used to publish
     the updates to the hardware walker) can be deferred until the end
     of the mapping operation

   - Extend mmap() randomisation for 52-bit virtual addresses (on par
     with 48-bit addressing) and remove limited support for
     randomisation of the linear map

  Perf and PMUs:

   - Add support for probing the CMN-S3 driver using ACPI

   - Minor driver fixes to the CMN, Arm-NI and amlogic PMU drivers

  Selftests:

   - Fix FPSIMD and SME tests to align with the freshly re-enabled SME
     support

   - Fix default setting of the OUTPUT variable so that tests are
     installed in the right location

  vDSO:

   - Replace raw counter access from inline assembly code with a call to
     the the __arch_counter_get_cntvct() helper function

  Miscellaneous:

   - Add some missing header inclusions to the CCA headers

   - Rework rendering of /proc/cpuinfo to follow the x86-approach and
     avoid repeated buffer expansion (the user-visible format remains
     identical)

   - Remove redundant selection of CONFIG_CRC32

   - Extend early error message when failing to map the device-tree
     blob"

<title>arm64: Use SYSTEM_OFF2 PSCI call to power off for hibernate</title>

The PSCI v1.3 specification adds support for a SYSTEM_OFF2 function
which is analogous to ACPI S4 state. This will allow hosting
environments to determine that a guest is hibernated rather than just
powered off, and handle that state appropriately on subsequent launches.

Since commit 60c0d45a7f7a ("efi/arm64: use UEFI for system reset and
poweroff") the EFI shutdown method is deliberately preferred over PSCI
or other methods. So register a SYS_OFF_MODE_POWER_OFF handler which
*only* handles the hibernation, leaving the original PSCI SYSTEM_OFF as
a last resort via the legacy pm_power_off function pointer.

The hibernation code already exports a system_entering_hibernation()
function which is be used by the higher-priority handler to check for
hibernation. That existing function just returns the value of a static
boolean variable from hibernate.c, which was previously only set in the
hibernation_platform_enter() code path. Set the same flag in the simpler
code path around the call to kernel_power_off() too.

An alternative way to hook SYSTEM_OFF2 into the hibernation code would
be to register a platform_hibernation_ops structure with an -&gt;enter()
method which makes the new SYSTEM_OFF2 call. But that would have the
unwanted side-effect of making hibernation take a completely different
code path in hibernation_platform_enter(), invoking a lot of special dpm
callbacks.

Another option might be to add a new SYS_OFF_MODE_HIBERNATE mode, with
fallback to SYS_OFF_MODE_POWER_OFF. Or to use the sys_off_data to
indicate whether the power off is for hibernation.

But this version works and is relatively simple.

Currently we return the value from invoke_psci_fn() directly as return
value from psci_system_suspend(). It is wrong to send the PSCI interface
return value directly. psci_to_linux_errno() provide the mapping from
PSCI return value to the one that can be returned to the callers within
the kernel.

Use psci_to_linux_errno() to convert and return the correct value from
psci_system_suspend().

On some Qualcomm platforms, like SC8280XP, the attempt to set PC mode
during boot fails with PSCI_RET_DENIED and since commit 998fcd001feb
("firmware/psci: Print a warning if PSCI doesn't accept PC mode") this
is now logged at warning level:

	psci: failed to set PC mode: -3

As there is nothing users can do about the firmware behaving this way,
demote the warning to info level and clearly mark it as a firmware bug:

	psci: [Firmware Bug]: failed to set PC mode: -3

The PSCI suspend code is currently instrumentable, which is not safe as
instrumentation (e.g. ftrace) may try to make use of RCU during idle
periods when RCU is not watching.

To fix this we need to ensure that psci_suspend_finisher() and anything
it calls are not instrumented. We can do this fairly simply by marking
psci_suspend_finisher() and the psci*_cpu_suspend() functions as
noinstr, and the underlying helper functions as __always_inline.

When CONFIG_DEBUG_VIRTUAL=y, __pa_symbol() can expand to an out-of-line
instrumented function, so we must use __pa_symbol_nodebug() within
psci_suspend_finisher().

The raw SMCCC invocation functions are written in assembly, and are not
subject to compiler instrumentation.
