There are two generics functions phy_ethtool_{get|set}_link_ksettings, so we can use them instead of defining the same code in the driver. There was a check on CAP_NET_ADMIN in au1000_set_settings, but this check is already done in dev_ethtool, so no need to repeat it before calling the generic function. The private structure contain a pointer to phydev, but the structure net_device already contain such pointer. Commit 7f854420fbfe9d49afe2ffb1df052cfe8e215541 ("phy: Add API for {un}registering an mdio device to a bus.") broke PHY detection on this driver with a copy-paste bug: The code is looking 32 times for a PHY at address 0. I added this check in setup_tc to multiple drivers, if (handle != TC_H_ROOT || tc->type != TC_SETUP_MQPRIO) Unfortunately restricting to TC_H_ROOT like this breaks the old instantiation of mqprio to setup a hardware qdisc. This patch relaxes the test to only check the type to make it equivalent to the check before I broke it. With this the old instantiation continues to work.
