The 'vsoc' driver was required for an early iteration of the Android
'cuttlefish' virtual platform, but this platform has been wholly
converted to use virtio drivers instead. Delete this old driver.

<title>staging: android: ashmem: Disallow ashmem memory from being remapped</title>

When ashmem file is mmapped, the resulting vma-&gt;vm_file points to the
backing shmem file with the generic fops that do not check ashmem
permissions like fops of ashmem do. If an mremap is done on the ashmem
region, then the permission checks will be skipped. Fix that by disallowing
mapping operation on the backing shmem file.

Replaced strcpy call with safer strscpy call with given length.
This elimates the need to manually null-terminate the given string,
since strscpy will null terminate the destination anyway.:

There's no callers in-tree anymore.

For merging probably best to stuff this into drm-misc, since that's
where the dma-buf heaps will land too. And the resulting conflict
hopefully ensures that dma-buf heaps wont have a new -&gt;kmap/unmap
implemenation.

<title>compat_ioctl: move more drivers to compat_ptr_ioctl</title>

The .ioctl and .compat_ioctl file operations have the same prototype so
they can both point to the same function, which works great almost all
the time when all the commands are compatible.

One exception is the s390 architecture, where a compat pointer is only
31 bit wide, and converting it into a 64-bit pointer requires calling
compat_ptr(). Most drivers here will never run in s390, but since we now
have a generic helper for it, it's easy enough to use it consistently.

I double-checked all these drivers to ensure that all ioctl arguments
are used as pointers or are ignored, but are not interpreted as integer
values.

Patch series "Make working with compound pages easier", v2.

These three patches add three helpers and convert the appropriate
places to use them.

It's unnecessarily hard to find out the size of a potentially huge page.

Pull staging and IIO driver updates from Greg KH:
 "Here is the big staging/iio driver update for 5.4-rc1.

  Lots of churn here, with a few driver/filesystems moving out of
  staging finally:

     - erofs moved out of staging

     - greybus core code moved out of staging

  Along with that, a new filesytem has been added:

     - extfat

  to provide support for those devices requiring that filesystem (i.e.
  transfer devices to/from windows systems or printers)

Pull core timer updates from Thomas Gleixner:
 "Timers and timekeeping updates:

   - A large overhaul of the posix CPU timer code which is a preparation
     for moving the CPU timer expiry out into task work so it can be
     properly accounted on the task/process.

     An update to the bogus permission checks will come later during the
     merge window as feedback was not complete before heading of for
     travel.

   - Switch the timerqueue code to use cached rbtrees and get rid of the
     homebrewn caching of the leftmost node.

   - Consolidate hrtimer_init() + hrtimer_init_sleeper() calls into a
     single function

   - Implement the separation of hrtimers to be forced to expire in hard
     interrupt context even when PREEMPT_RT is enabled and mark the
     affected timers accordingly.

   - Implement a mechanism for hrtimers and the timer wheel to protect
     RT against priority inversion and live lock issues when a (hr)timer
     which should be canceled is currently executing the callback.
     Instead of infinitely spinning, the task which tries to cancel the
     timer blocks on a per cpu base expiry lock which is held and
     released by the (hr)timer expiry code.

   - Enable the Hyper-V TSC page based sched_clock for Hyper-V guests
     resulting in faster access to timekeeping functions.

   - Updates to various clocksource/clockevent drivers and their device
     tree bindings.

   - The usual small improvements all over the place"
