A recent commit removing the use of screen_info introduced a logic
error. The error causes hvfb_getmem() to always return -ENOMEM
for Generation 2 VMs. As a result, the Hyper-V frame buffer
device fails to initialize. The error was introduced by removing
an "else if" clause, leaving Gen2 VMs to always take the -ENOMEM
error path.

Fix the problem by removing the error path "else" clause. Gen 2
VMs now always proceed through the MMIO memory allocation code,
but with "base" and "size" defaulting to 0.

<title>fbcon: always restore the old font data in fbcon_do_set_font()</title>

Commit a5a923038d70 (fbdev: fbcon: Properly revert changes when
vc_resize() failed) started restoring old font data upon failure (of
vc_resize()). But it performs so only for user fonts. It means that the
"system"/internal fonts are not restored at all. So in result, the very
first call to fbcon_do_set_font() performs no restore at all upon
failing vc_resize().

This can be reproduced by Syzkaller to crash the system on the next
invocation of font_get(). It's rather hard to hit the allocation failure
in vc_resize() on the first font_set(), but not impossible. Esp. if
fault injection is used to aid the execution/failure. It was
demonstrated by Sirius:
BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: fffffffffffffff8
#PF: supervisor read access in kernel mode

So restore the font data in any case, not only for user fonts. Note the
later 'if' is now protected by 'old_userfont' and not 'old_data' as the
latter is always set now. (And it is supposed to be non-NULL. Otherwise
we would see the bug above again.)

Avoid a kernel crash in stifb by providing the correct pointer to the fb_info
struct. Prior to commit e2e0b838a184 ("video/sticore: Remove info field from
STI struct") the fb_info struct was at the beginning of the fb struct.

If the boot logo does not fit, a message is printed, including a wrong
function name prefix. Instead of correcting the function name (or using
__func__), just use "fbcon", like is done in several other messages.

While at it, modernize the call by switching to pr_info().

The userspace program could pass any values to the driver through
ioctl() interface. If the driver doesn't check the value of pixclock,
it may cause divide-by-zero error.

In sisfb_check_var(), var-&gt;pixclock is used as a divisor to caculate
drate before it is checked against zero. Fix this by checking it
at the beginning.

This is similar to CVE-2022-3061 in i740fb which was fixed by
commit 15cf0b8.

Although pixclock is checked in savagefb_decode_var(), but it is not

Pull i2c updates from Wolfram Sang:
"This removes the currently unused CLASS_DDC support (controllers set
the flag, but there is no client to use it).

Also, CLASS_SPD support gets simplified to prepare removal in the
future. Class based instantiation is not recommended these days
  anyhow.

Furthermore, I2C core now creates a debugfs directory per I2C adapter.
Current bus driver users were converted to use it.

Finally, quite some driver updates. Standing out are patches for the
wmt-driver which is refactored to support more variants.

This is the rebased pull request where a large series for the
  designware driver was dropped"

After removal of the legacy EEPROM driver and I2C_CLASS_DDC support in
olpc_dcon there's no i2c client driver left supporting I2C_CLASS_DDC.
Class-based device auto-detection is a legacy mechanism and shouldn't
be used in new code. So we can remove this class completely now.
