2025-06-06xtensa: Replace __ASSEMBLY__ with __ASSEMBLER__ in non-uapi headersThomas Huth1-1/+1
While the GCC and Clang compilers already define __ASSEMBLER__ automatically when compiling assembly code, __ASSEMBLY__ is a macro that only gets defined by the Makefiles in the kernel. This can be very confusing when switching between userspace and kernelspace coding, or when dealing with uapi headers that rather should use __ASSEMBLER__ instead. So let's standardize on the __ASSEMBLER__ macro that is provided by the compilers now. This is a completely mechanical patch (done with a simple "sed -i" statement). 2024-07-09arch/xtensa: always_inline get_current() and current_thread_info()Suren Baghdasaryan1-1/+1
Mark get_current() and current_thread_info() functions as always_inline to fix the following modpost warning: WARNING: modpost: vmlinux: section mismatch in reference: get_current+0xc (section: .text.unlikely) -> initcall_level_names (section: .init.data) The warning happens when these functions are called from an __init function and they don't get inlined (remain in the .text section) while the value they return points into .init.data section. Assuming get_current() always returns a valid address, this situation can happen only during init stage and accessing .init.data from .text section during that stage should pose no issues. 2022-02-25xtensa: Implement "current_stack_pointer"Kees Cook1-0/+2
To follow the existing per-arch conventions replace open-coded uses of asm "sp" as "current_stack_pointer". This will let it be used in non-arch places (like HARDENED_USERCOPY). 2017-12-10xtensa: consolidate kernel stack size related definitionsMax Filippov1-2/+2
Define kernel stack size in kmem_layout and use it in current_thread_info, GET_THREAD_INFO, THREAD_SIZE and THERAD_SIZE_ORDER definitions. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
2012-12-18xtensa: clean up files to make them code-style compliantChris Zankel1-1/+1
Remove heading and trailing spaces, trim trailing lines, and wrap lines that are longer than 80 characters. Signed-off-by: Chris Zankel <chris@zankel.net>
2008-11-06xtensa: move headers files to arch/xtensa/includeChris Zankel1-0/+38
Move all header files for xtensa to arch/xtensa/include and platform and variant header files to the appropriate arch/xtensa/platforms/ and arch/xtensa/variants/ directories. Moving the files gets also rid of all uses of symlinks in the Makefile. This has been completed already for the majority of the architectures and xtensa is one out of six missing.
