wlc_lcnphy_common_read_table() A new warning in clang [1] complains that diq_start in wlc_lcnphy_tx_iqlo_cal() is passed uninitialized as a const pointer to wlc_lcnphy_common_read_table(): drivers/net/wireless/broadcom/brcm80211/brcmsmac/phy/phy_lcn.c:2728:13: error: variable 'diq_start' is uninitialized when passed as a const pointer argument here [-Werror,-Wuninitialized-const-pointer] 2728 | &diq_start, 1, 16, 69); | ^~~~~~~~~ The table pointer passed to wlc_lcnphy_common_read_table() should not be considered constant, as wlc_phy_read_table() is ultimately going to update it. Remove the const qualifier from the tbl_ptr to clear up the warning. 2024-06-01wifi: brcm80211: use sizeof(*pointer) instead of sizeof(type)Erick Archer2-5/+5
It is preferred to use sizeof(*pointer) instead of sizeof(type) due to the type of the variable can change and one needs not change the former (unlike the latter). This patch has no effect on runtime behavior. At the same time remove some redundant NULL initializations. wlc_phy_txpwr_srom_read_nphy() in wlc_phy_attach_nphy() can not return false, so it's impossible to get true value in this if-statement. 2020-09-09brcmsmac: fix memory leak in wlc_phy_attach_lcnphyKeita Suzuki1-1/+3
When wlc_phy_txpwr_srom_read_lcnphy fails in wlc_phy_attach_lcnphy, the allocated pi->u.pi_lcnphy is leaked, since struct brcms_phy will be freed in the caller function. Fix this by calling wlc_phy_detach_lcnphy in the error handler of wlc_phy_txpwr_srom_read_lcnphy before returning. The kmalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kmalloc_array(). This patch replaces cases of: kmalloc(a * b, gfp) with: kmalloc_array(a * b, gfp) as well as handling cases of: kmalloc(a * b * c, gfp) with: kmalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp) as it's slightly less ugly than: kmalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp) This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like: kmalloc(4 * 1024, gfp) though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion. Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were dropped, since they're redundant. The tools/ directory was manually excluded, since it has its own implementation of kmalloc().
