2019-05-01staging: rtlwifi: delete the staging driverGreg Kroah-Hartman12-14730/+0
A "real" driver for this hardware is now in the wireless-drivers-next tree, to be merged in the next major kernel release, so this staging driver can now be deleted as it is not needed anymore. Note, 2 .h files remain for this driver, as they are referenced in a separate staging driver. That mess will be cleaned up in a follow-on patch. 2019-04-03staging: add missing SPDX lines to Makefile filesGreg Kroah-Hartman1-0/+1
There are a few remaining drivers/staging/*/Makefile files that do not have SPDX identifiers in them. Add the correct GPL-2.0 identifier to them to make scanning tools happy. Reviewed-by: Mukesh Ojha <mojha@codeaurora.org> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>

2018-11-05Staging: rtlwifi: Remove Unneeded funition halbtc_get_wifi_rssi()Bhanusree Pola1-12/+1
In the function halbtc_get_wifi_rssi: 1.if and else are functionally identical as they assign same value to variable 'undec_sm_pwdb'. 2.Variable 'undec_sm_pwdb' not required to just return a single value. 3.Function not needed to just return a value and so removed the function and assigned value rtlpriv->dm.undec_sm_pwdb where the function halbtc_get_wifi_rssi() is called. 2017-08-23staging: rtlwifi: simplify logical operationArnd Bergmann1-3/+1
gcc notices a very complicated way to check a value for being equal to one, and warns about it: drivers/staging/rtlwifi/btcoexist/halbtc8822b1ant.c: In function 'halbtc8822b1ant_set_ext_ant_switch': drivers/staging/rtlwifi/btcoexist/halbtc8822b1ant.c:2105:9: error: '~' on a boolean expression [-Werror=bool-operation] ~switch_polatiry_inverse : ^ drivers/staging/rtlwifi/btcoexist/halbtc8822b1ant.c:2105:9: note: did you mean to use logical not? ~switch_polatiry_inverse : ^ This simplifies this expression to make it more readable and to make gcc happy. 2017-08-20staging: r8822be: Add Makefiles and Kconfig for new driverLarry Finger3-246/+24
The RTL8822BE, an 802.11ac wireless network card, is now appearing in new computers. Its driver is being placed in staging to reduce the time that users of this new card will have access to in-kernel drivers. This commit enables building of the new driver. For this version, all routines are built into a single module r8822be. When this driver is moved to the wireless tree, halmac, phydm, and rtl8822be will become new modules. 2017-08-20staging: r8822be: Copy existing btcoexist code into stagingLarry Finger5-0/+3602
The RTL8822BE, an 802.11ac wireless network card, is now appearing in new computers. Its driver is being placed in staging to reduce the time that users of this new card will have access to in-kernel drivers. This commit copies the existing routines from .../rtlwifi/btcoexist/ into staging. There are no changes other than removing all EXPORT statements, and the fixing of checkpatch messages. The latter will be backported to the wireless tree.
