2024-08-19dt-bindings: serial: add common properties schema for UART childrenKrzysztof Kozlowski1-22/+1
Properties should be defined in only one place, thus add new serial-peripheral-props.yaml schema with definition of common properties for UART-connected devices (children of UART controller): current-speed and max-speed. The schema can be referenced by individual devices using these properties. 2024-08-19dt-bindings: serial: add missing "additionalProperties" on child nodesKrzysztof Kozlowski1-0/+1

2023-10-21dt-bindings: serial: re-order entries to match coding conventionKrzysztof Kozlowski1-8/+8
The DT schema coding convention expressed in Documentation/devicetree/bindings/example-schema.yaml expects entries in following order: - properties, patternProperties - required - if blocks, allOf with if-blocks - additionalProperties/unevaluatedProperties Re-order few schemas to match the convention to avoid repeating review comments for new patches using existing code as template. 2023-02-07dt-bindings: serial: restrict possible child node namesKrzysztof Kozlowski1-1/+1
The re-usable serial.yaml schema matches every property with ".*" pattern, thus any other schema referencing it will not report unknown (unevaluated) properties. This hides several wrong properties. It is a limitation of dtschema, thus provide a simple workaround: expect children to be only of few names matching upstream usage (Bluetooth, GNSS, GPS and MCU). 2021-03-23dt-bindings: Clean-up undocumented compatible stringsRob Herring1-1/+1
Adding checks for undocumented compatible strings reveals a bunch of warnings in the DT binding examples. Fix the cases which are typos, just a mismatch between the schema and the example, or aren't documented at all. In a couple of cases, fixing the compatible revealed some schema errors which are fixed. There's a bunch of others remaining after this which have bindings, but those aren't converted to schema yet.
